As of the 2010 census, Cross Village has 93 people living in the town. During the summer months, the area sees a large increase in residents, due to the numerous cottages near Lake Michigan. The town currently has 2 churches, 2 restaurants, a post-office, general store, and museum.
The Cross Village General Store was recently bought by Jan Hill. Her parents owned the store, which serves as Cross Village's only place to buy groceries, for more than 20 years before selling it. Jan, along with her mom Sue Howard, have worked hard to improve the store and start new events, such as a weekly farmers market during the summer months.

In 2012, Cross Village completed construction of a new boat launch, which will allow for larger boats to enter Lake Michigan at the port. The new ramp could attract more people to Cross Village, as Waugoshance Point, just north of the town, is renowned for its bass fishing. The Port of Cross Village Park also received several upgrades, including new benches and picnic tables.
